pH of a buffer water solution

A very important property of natural water - is its buffering.
We reset the natural body of water (river, lake, sea, ocean) acidic waste water, and the pH of the water is almost unchanged.
See below for a simple example of the calculation pH of a buffer water solution.

See the video too http://communities.ptc.com/videos/2185#comment-3604

The first question - what is the best origin for K1 and K2

(for Kw it is IAPWS)

The Given-Find solution is not stabile. More correct - using programming:

The problem is now on the Mathcad Server too!

Try please http://twt.mpei.ac.ru/MCS/Worksheets/Chem/pH-CO2-water.mcd

And see the picture

Valery,

This is a nice example. I wish you would post it as a Document in the ChE space. The Discussion area is so huge that it is almost of no use for browsing, only searching. Also, the Document area is a better place for finished examples than the works in progress usually found in the Discussion area.

Thanks for your contribution.
