Hi All,I'm trying to add pbo/pbo number to the notification email that is sent to responsible Role when triggered by an assigned activity deadline (missed). I can see the notification robots have a drop down where you can select which template to use (and I assume add your own

Keir, here is how you can put the geneal info into the "Instructions" field of the activity notification. I'm not certainly if these instructions are included on the "Hey manager this is past it's due date" notification though.

I'm going to have to go the route of PTC Tech support to find out which template is being used.

For anyone that is interested here is an update as to how this plays out...

I am told that SPR 2060827 will resolve in Windchill 10 (safe to assume a maintenance release at this point). No known workaround for 9.1 or earlier.

Until then I have un-enabled the "Deadline Passed Due" Notification that is embedded in WF Assigned Activity. It may actually be more effective to build a report to run regularly and publish on a wall of fame and/or shame than to clog up emails, so I'm going to look at those kinds of possibilities. Ultimately, everything is there in an individual users Home > Assignments Page, the problem is motivating timely participation. Objective and transparent performance metrics are one heckuva motivator.

Good to know - thanks for posting.

Several months ago we simply started using Deadlines to have them turn red at the due date in the user's assignment table (very minimal, no spamming).

Agree though that it has to be supplemented with a "wall of shame" of some type. We make very visible a bar graph by Role for the average time to turn around assignments, sorted. No one wants to be on the first bar of the bar graph.

You can create a QB report that grabs all open stuff and reports on the due dates etc....even do some math concerning "Days in waiting" kind of thing. Print = "Wall of Shame" 🙂

You need to link the work item to the WFactivity in order to get the due date and activity name....plus link to the main object (promotion notice or ECR/ECN). I REALLY like due dates as you can require users to set them in their workflow task...which they will then be used for someone else's tasks. Nice for managers or users to say "Hey I need this by this date" without hard coding in the due dates of "5 days".

[cid:image001.gif@01CBEA07.26F87980]

Steve Vinyard
Application Engineer
