We are hoping to upgrade from ProductView 9.0 to 9.1 soon but have run
into a roadblock. Apparently PTC has dropped support for using 9.1 as a
browser plugin -- they're telling us that 9.1 can only be run as a
stand-alone viewer application. There seems to be some support if you're
running it inside of Windchill, but the interface is completely different
and it only has a subset of the capability when compared to the
stand-alone viewer.

We have a home grown drawing publish/storage/search capability that we've
been using successfully many years, and have always been able to launch PV
from a URL within our system.

I'm wondering if any other companies have run into this problem yet, and
if so what have you done about it?

Brian Geary
R&D Systems Analyst
Herman Miller, Inc.
Office: (616) 654-8993
Mobile: (616) 796-5257
