Hi All,

Looking at solutions/ suggestions on how to manage component (Electronics) from Altium Parts Library to have some business logic managed (AVL Parts with limited time availability) in Windchill.

Basically if the mfg plant is another location with a different EMS supplier , how to restrict Designers to use components from this supplier?

Hi Vladimar,

Question is about how to push component data (with correct supplier) from Windchill to Altium? Windchill will manage components through a custom workflow for Component Manager and this updated data have to be pushed to Alitum Vault

Hello Ashish,

XPLM has parts synchronization function use that & addition to that control the Parts with States. In datamodel under Part_in_BOM defines states that are not supposed to be used by designer. In windchill, make that part go through that state. It'll automatically warns user's not to use that component.
