We are looking to receive some scanned data from a vendor. What is the best format to receive this in to bring it into ProE? I think it is going to be a pretty large scan so any other suggestions that may help in the process are more than welcome.

TIA

Michael Wimberly
Engineering Applications Support Specialist III
Security & Survivability

BAE Systems Land & Armaments
9113 Le Saint Drive
Fairfield, Ohio 45014 U.S.A.
(513) 881-4843 Direct
(513) 833-3565 Mobile
(513) 881-5087 Fax
-<">mailto:->
P Before printing, think about the environment.

This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team.

Hi Michael,

I assume by your question that you will not be importing point cloud data. A general answer would be: STEP, IGES, or STL, but it might help if I understood what your next step is with the imported scan data.

Best regards,

TROY MASON
Impulse Product Development
2445 Directors Row Ste C
Indianapolis, IN 46241
317.243.2225
www.impulseproductdevelopment.com
www.impulseproductdevelopment.com/blog
www.facebook.com/impulseproductdevelopment
