2D Cross Section is Greyed Out
Creo 4.0 080
Greetings all,
I have a section that I can place and change the angle, but "spacing" is greyed out. I looked up some stuff that people had issues with cross sections and it had something to do with view being set to no hidden. That does not solve my problem. This has got to be something dumb.
Help?
Wayne

This is due to a change in functionality, to include PAT for hatching.
If you will use Creo 4.0 M060 or later, you will get spacing option when XCH is selected for hatching.

Hi,
upload simple model, if you can reproduce the problem on it.

I pulled my hair out. Then I made a simple block. Made a simple cross hatch. Made a simple drawing. "spacing" is grayed out. I tried "scale" and that accomplishes the job. Am I nuts or was "spacing" what we used? Perhaps it's intent is for other reasons?

please calm down 🙂
- attach some screenshots showing your situation
-
upload simple model with cross section defined
Nobody can help you, if you do not provide enough information.

I'm plenty calm.
The point I was making is that it's happening from scratch using 4.0 080. I had another person try it. If you'd like to try a simple block/dwg, that would be helpful. I am thinking it may be the new way its being done in 4.0?

@wfalco, Creo Parametric 4.0 M080 is not released yet. It's not even on the calendar yet... Can you please double check what version you're running?

Can you either attach your sample model or list the steps you are using to create the cross hatch?

I knew there was a reason! Thanks so much!
I searched and did not find this.

My God... this is so STUPID! I hate CREO so much... They actively find ways to make it more complicated for the user. Bold move, PTC, let's see how it works out for you.
