ANSI Flare Bevel Weld Symbol Problem

ANSI Flare Bevel Weld Symbol Problem

I am using the ANSI Flare Bevel weld symbol in PTC Creo 8.0.8.0, and there seems to be a large space between the flare bevel symbol and the flush and grind symbol. So much space that the flush and grind symbol hardly appears to be applied to the weld symbol.

Can this space be reduced relative to the rest of the symbol? Or maybe another solution? I've tried changing the font size, but this makes everything smaller. I've also tried the different weld symbols (simple, combination, braze, and ISO) but none of these options are a good solution.

Not looking for a solution involving adding a sketch line and/or Text Note.

Thanks for your time,

Kevin

Welding symbol size in Creo is a known problem.  They're defined to accept a lot of options and those options need space.  We have been dealing w/ the same.  Redefining the symbol is the only way to go.  But, that requires a lot of testing to make sure everything works and then the symbols need to be rolled out to all users.

Attached is the entire symbol definition w/ all the various options.  We decided to keep them as is.
