About forced/blocked quote in drawings

Hello,

sometimes i have to force a dimension (substitute its real value with another). Is there a way to change color of forced quotes?

Thank you.

This could turn into a real can of worms.

In 3D design, there should never be the need to override dimensions from the model. The models should be created 100% accurate to begin with, and then proper views on the drawings will let you get the dimensions that actually exist.

Except when the mold is made different then the part, but it is exceptable and the boss doesn't want you to take the time to fix the model, just fix the dimensions.

That will get your boss in trouble on down the line. Something will change and the drawing won't and all hell will break loose!

Hello, Mauro.

It is possible.

To get what you want you should do these:

1. Choose the dimension which value you'd like to change.

2. Click the right button of the mouse.

3. Open the dimension properties box.

4. Choose "redefine the value" option.

5. Input the value you need.

6. Open the dialogue box that's called "text style".

7. Change the colour from default to red (for example).

Best regards, Vladimir.

Thank you for replying. I thought there was an automatic solution, but, anyway, it can be good.
