Amada SheetWorks (Solidworks) NC Software using Pro/E models via INTRALINK 3.4

Can anyone provide info on their experiences using Amada SheetWorks NC Software to generate sheetmetal NC programs for laser/turret machines from Pro/E models.

Amada SheetWorks uses SolidWorks engine to open assembly models, unbend sheetmetal components, and tool for laser or turret. Apparently SheetWorks can open Pro/E models or iges/step files.

I am particularly interested to learn if/howother users have used SolidWorks to access Pro/E models in INTRALINK 3.4.

Have you tried Pro/NC Sheetmetal?

We produce the flat in Pro/E sheetmetal then export the dxf or iges of the flat into oher manufacting tools. This keeps the flat associated to the part geometry.Pro/E's sheetmeatl tools work very well at producing the flat. At one point we used Amada's AP100 software to drive our turret presses. We switched to Merry Mech because the Amada'snesting capabilities were very limited. We are currently usingAmada's Dr. Abe Bend to tool to program our HDS 1303 press brake. Amada software and support can be very difficult to work with. Fixes to bugs are almost none existant. (They make PTC look really good).
