I am running Creo 6 on Dell Precision 5680 (i7-13850HX, NVIDIA RTX A1000 6GB, 32GB Ram).
When I am trying to open a STEP (500 MB) assy, Creo crushes with an error:
"An application has requested more GPU memory than is available in the system. That application will now be closed".
All the settings for Nvidia card are applied.
Tried renaming .wf folder based on one of solutions I found on PTC website, Did not work for me.
Tried other workstation, no problem.
Something to do with a Open GL driver?
Anybody had the same problem and found the solution?
Any suggestions how to fix it?

Try setting the config option graphics win32_gdi and test it on the problematic machine. See below article for details on graphics settings. via config.pro.

There can be multiple config.pro files. I have no way of knowing how your environment is set up. See the link below for config.pro basics.
About Configuration Files (ptc.com)
Use the following to get to the config option editor UI.
File->options->configuration editor
@tbraxton None of "graphics win32_gdi ", "use_software_opengl " are bring any results in my config.pro search.
The configuration option "graphics" is a hidden config option so the search function will not find it.
Open your config.pro file in a text editor, you must have write permission to save this file.
Paste this line at the end of the config.pro file and save the file;
graphics win32_gdi
Exit Creo and start a new session and ensure your config that you changed above is loaded.
Then test your STEP import and report back

Added graphics win32_gdi to my config.pro. Still crushing. Opened the same assy on Dell with A3000 card, opened in a wink.
All Nvidia settings are per Nvidia suggestion. Driver is the latest.
Try this. On the machine where you are able to open the STEP file, save it as a Creo neutral file and then open the neutral file on the machine with the RTXA1000 card. You should also try the ISV approved Nividia GPU driver from Dell and not the one directly from Nvidia.
