Annotation in an Assembly

I have placed an annotatioin in an assembly, if I try to modify any other feature the annotaiton is not visible in the screeen until I enter the annotation like i am editting it then exit from editing it. It then appears until I try to edit another feature. Does anyone know how to make this visible all the time?
