Arc length dimension

I thought it was possible to dimension the length of an arc in sketcher.
All I can get is an angle dim.

How do you do this.

It's a bit hokey if you ask me. It won't let you define two in one sketch
feature.

Hi David,

You can do this directly:

1. Pick the first endpoint of the arc
2. Pick the second endpoint of the arc
3. Pick the arc itself
4. Middle-click to place the dimension

My apologies. The method I describe below only works in drawings.

That is good info either way, in the drawing you get an arc length
option, but in sketcher that method gives you the degrees of arc you
have. I learn more things just "listening" to the how to where to on
this list.

You can.....in sketcher. Create a perimiter dimension and make either the radius or the angle the varying dim. Then, it's parametric, and can be shown on the dwg, though maybe not in the exact way the arc length dim created on a dwg can be. BUT, you could create the arc length dwg dim as described above, use spacebar characters, and then create a note offset from that dim (placed in the empty space) using the &d# so that way it's a driving dim, and even looks right.
