Assembly cut?

Assembly cut?

What happened to assembly cut (Extrude)???

I used to be able to do a cut in an assembly (May not be good practice.) When I go to "EXTRUDE" in an assembly now, the cut icon is grayed out.

Thanks, Mike D

It's not that the cut is not allowed, it's chosen by default because you cannot ADD material.

That cannot be right. There is no way that they would take out the assembly
cut feature. There has to be a reason why it is grayed out on your
particular assembly.

Now THERE is a good point.

Mike,

I am on WF4 and when I go to extrude for an assembly cut the cut icon is greyed out in the dash board, but it lets me make a cut. I presume it is greyed since by default you can't add material.
