Hi There,
In flexible modeling you can select a single surface and then with a single button propagate the selection to all tangent surfaces.
This is exactly what I want to do but in the normal modeling environment. I have a lot of sheetmetal parts and for each of them I run a macro that takes my manually selected surfaces then does a copy and paste of the quilt into a different part followed by a few other operations..
Currently, I select all the tangent surfaces of a part manually using the control key and then start my macro. Is there any way to automatically select all tangent surfaces in the normal modeling environment just as you can in the flexible modeling environment?
Thanks
Karl

There is no selection option to automate what you are asking for. Have you tried loop surface or seed and bound selection of surfaces? You may be able to use one of those and a datum reference feature to improve the workflow.
