Auto update views on drawing for AFX profils

Hi!

Recently we had a problem with updating views on drawing regarding AFX profils. 

The views do not reflect the changes made in the 3D. We are forced to manually update all the views for each drawing. Since we have hundreds of drawings per project, this takes an enormous amount of time. And normally, it used to work perfectly fine before. For the past few weeks, it hasn’t been working anymore. The variable auto_regen_views is set to ‘yes’.

Has anyone else encountered this issue recently?

can you be more specific about the issue? What changed during the last weeks? 

What creo version are you using?

We are using Creo 8.0.11.0. We changed the drawing template, and after this modification, the view updates were working automatically and correctly. A few weeks later, they stopped updating. We went back to the old template, but it still doesn’t work

could you attach your config.pro and your drawing template so I can investigate the issue?

Please find attached my config.pro. and my drawing template But I have already tested with several templates and formats which worked very well and have not been modified, and the issue still persists. I also just noticed that it affects basic parts as well — for example, a part with a simple extrusion feature. So it’s not only related to AFX profiles.

can you tell me how you created those drawings? Did you use the Framework function "Create component drawings"?

If that is the case then please also provide the drawing_setup.txt file that was used to create the drawings.

No I didn't use "Create component drawings" function. In the AFX library, there are profile models and theire associeted drawings. So, for each profile created the drawing is copied.

And the AFX profile drawings in the library are normaly created via  "new file--> drawing-->with template (template attached).
