When I try to bond two cylindrical surfaces in which the 'parent' surface is divided into two regions, i only get bonded nodes at half of the interface. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I use 'free' as the default contact interface.
I cannot manually add the bonded contact between the doubler and the second half of the cylindrical surface, because it thinks there is already bonded contact there (despite refusing to mesh the contact).
When I create the original bonded contact, it does not matter whether I check "Extend Adjacent Surfaces" or not (what does this even do, btw?), the mesher does not mesh both halves of the cylinder.
