CREO 10.0 - Dove tail joint part
I'd like to make a slot for a dovetail-joint, where the slot narrows . How do I do this kind of extrude in a rectangular block?
Added a quick hand drawn sketch for reference. 🙂

Two options come to mind:
Swept blend and a variable section sweep. The swept blend will probably be the easiest to implement for this geometry.

Thank you, I fond a video og swept blend and had it done in 5 minutes, after spending a silly amount of time trying all sorts of weird things 🙂

If the dovetail is uniform shape, create a plane at the angle of the taper and do a simple extrude-remove.
