CREO 3

Good Morning -

Currently at CREO 2 M010, Windchill M030

Been on CREO 2 since 2012.

We are upgrading in early February and I'm having a real problem with
whether to take a later CREO2 date code, or make the jump to CREO3. We
don't upgrade often - as you can see from the early datecodes. Basically
I'd like anyone with - well - positive experience with CREO3 to comment, and
also the not so positive. Windchill has been fairly solid - a few issues -
but we've learned to deal with those.

Thanks -

Anthony

Anthony:

We've been using Creo 3.0 M010 & M020 since December. We deployed it along with an upgrade to Windchill 10.2.

After we deployed it we discovered all kinds of annoying bugs that hadn't surfaced in the testing that we did. The updated drawing interface alsotook some of our users a while to get used to and it broke many mapkeys. We've had many more crashes as well than we did with Creo 2 M110.

In retrospect we should have stayedwith Creo 2 untilCreo 3gets more stable.

Having jumped in, I am beginning to get the impression that Creo3 has some issues.

Anyone else having graphics issues with Creo3 M020?
We have certain models that display as gibberish for lack of a better word when opened.
Most of the part is invisible with a cluster of "flakes" in shaded mode.
It is reproducible on different workstations but it does not occur every time the file is opened, say 80% of the time. I have only seen it happen with certain instances of family tabled parts. Regenerating/verifying the problem instance usually corrects the issue for that session but it starts all over again the next time the model is opened.

Don't do it!!!

Just for the way they have changed the text editing in draft should be enough!!

Imoved our 40 userstoCreo Parametric3.0 M010 November 2014 from Creo Parametric2.0 M050 and have not looked back! We are on Windchill 10.1 M040.

The Edit References,Notification Center and Model Tree status indicators (just to name few enhancements) are priceless!

I would definately recommend Creo Parametric 3.0

I should add, the users picked up the drawing dimensioning and text editting within aweek and have no further complaints.
