Central Catalog linkng

New day, new question....

I have successfully migrated to RSD 7.0 with a Central Catalog, and all new designs I create I am able to link to that catalog through a template design. However, anytime I try to re-use a design that was created prior to the migration, (packing the design and using the package as my template) I cannot link the new design to the catalog. Nor can I create a new design from my working template and then import design data from the older design. So far I have had to re-create from scratch any pre-RSD 7.0 designs that I want to re-use as a starting point for new designs.

My thanks to Jim Barrett Smith for his quick reply as usual.

As I understand his response, legacy designs should be left independent of the CC. This works out ok for us since we're new to RSD and have only created a handful of designs that need to be re-created in order to link them to the CC. All new designs from this point forward will be done using our RSD 7 template which alredy has the link in place.
