Creo 3 on Surface Pro 3 shuts computer down when Creo is turned off or data files opened. Never worked right.

Downloaded today. Same program loaded onto eight other PCs runs fine. This machine is a Surface Pro 3 running Win 8.1 Pro; all updates are current.

1. If I start Creo Parametric 3 and then shut it down without working on it, the computer shuts down and reboots.
2. If I start Creo Parametric 3 and then try to enter a file from "how to model almost anything" teaching file the computer shuts down and reboots.

Steps I have already taken:

1. Uninstalled and re-installed Creo program. No change.
2. Now I'm out of ideas.

This same computer runs Autodesk Inventor just fine.

Drive shows 137GB used, 95GB free space.

How can I make this program work right?
