Creo 4.0: Issues when exporting sheetmetal parts in flat state to dxf

Hello,

We have an issue here when exporting the flat state of Sheetmetal parts. DXF will be created from the drawing.

We have checked off the splines option in the export menu.

In most cases the splines (end points) in the exported DXF file are not connected. Our supplier needs to connect the end points by themselves.

When I change splines to polylines, the end points are connected but the geometry contains only straight lines, we don't want this as well.

Changing the DXF version or using a different version of Creo is no success.

Are there any settings we have to use to solve this issue?

thanks in advance....

S.

 Hi,

A similar problem has happened before - "Issue exporting DXF - mapping layers": https://community.ptc.com/t5/3D-Part-Assembly-Design/Issue-exporting-DXF-mapping-layers/td-p/692005

Hi Vladimir,

I don't think it is a layer issue.

The problem is that the 2D geometry: end points of the splines, are not connected with each other.

Using plug-inns could be the solution but Creo (PTC) should have a solution as well.

If I change to polylines, the end points of eind line are connected so the shape is closed.

What options in DXF_export.pro do I have?

Are there other settings I could try?

thanks,

S.
