Creo 5: How to Attach a GD&T feature control frame to an axis?

I need to attach GD&T to an axis. How is that done in Creo 5? I can't apply it to a surface because the surface is drafted and I need to control the center plane.

Drawing: There is no problem with attaching geometric tolerance to axis.

If you positioned GTOL free, just select Change Reference (icon with chain glyph) and select axis.

MBD: Directly on axis it is not possible. Probably not allowed with standard.

Workaround:

- Attach it to dummy surface

- Select Geometric Tolerance > RMB > Add Leader

- Select Axis > Now you have to Leaders - one on surface and one on axis

- Select Leader attached to surface > RMB > Delete Leader

Domen

Attaching a Feature Control Frame to an axis is not permitted per ASME Y14.5.  If it is a feature of size, the FCF should be attached to the size dimension.
