Creo IFX (Intelligent fasteners) - how to call out the pattern / hole editing window?

Creo IFX (Intelligent fasteners) - how to call out the pattern / hole editing window?

When a new IFX fastener is created, a window for pattern (single instance / all instances) and the hole control (no hole / hole in part level / hole in assembly level) shows up (see image)

Is it possible to bring up this window on existing fastener, and edit it? Or would the fastener have to be deleted and a new one created in order to get this window again?

Hi,

here are a few information.

  • If you use the IFX-option 'USE_EXTERNAL_REFERENCES' set to 'NO', it is not possible to reference on a point or axis pattern for IFX fastener creation.
  • In this case you can assemble in the selected single instance, or you can assemble the fastener on all instances of a pattern
  • If a feature has more then one point or axis, you can also assemble the fastener on all instances of this pattern
  • The assembled fasteners are summed up to a group - after creation you only can modify the fastener, but not the count of elements

So to answer your question in short - it is not possible to bring up this dialog after fastener creation.

This is only possible if you use external references. Then you can change between pattern fastener and assemble single instance while edit.

If you need more information, please attach your '.<ifx>\configuration\ifx_options.xml' file and more information about the selected position reference for the IFX fastener.

Thanks.

Thank you Oliver. No, I don't use external references. The fact that it is not possible is still an answer, just wanted to make sure I am not missing something. I marked you answer as a solution.
