Creo Parametric Harness Design Gravity Effect

I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.3.0

Is it possible to factor in gravity in cabling design to get a more realistic representation of slack and mass effect? I haven't found any related article or post in the community.

No, gravity is a force, not something that CAD systems are handling. For chains, I have used cantenary sag calculations to get estimates.

You would need some sort of simulation software, even then, the complexity of the analysis would be interesting.

I rely on experience and trial and error when I have needed to factor in other forces acting on hydraulic hose design.

Thanks @StephenW  it makes sense. I was thinking more about something equivalent to the feature Flex Physical Simulation 2 (FLX) in DS CATIA which I used in my previous company for jumper cables.
