I have a creo file with no features but its file size is 3052 kb. I would appreciate your response. Please find the file attached.
Do you have any appearances with image maps?
No
It must be an old file that has had stuff deleted from it, yes? I just created a new file (Creo 4.0, M090) with no template (empty) and its size is 34Kb. I think there's a lot of "baggage" and other remnants of stuff left in a file even after all the features have been deleted. I don't know what kind of persistent junk is retained in the part database, but I wish there were a way to purge it.
It's from CREO 3.0 M160. I don't know reason behind it, But definitely need it.
Hi,
please upload the file.

Hi,
1.] there is some history saved in the file, for example it was saved in Windchill Commonspace
2.] I guess the file was improperly cleaned
3.] you have to send the file to PTC Support if you want to get the answer to your question
4.] I opened the file in Notepad++, as you can see in the following picture the file contains thousands of strange lines corresponding to excessive data.
Is this a new file created in Creo 3 M160?
Is it an older file that has had the features deleted from?
Are there any relations or parameters in the file?
Are you using Windchill with your files?
There are many reasons a file size grows and does not shrink when objects are removed.
Are there a ton of parameters and relations that calculate values?
