I have an instance where I have created a custom unit system in 40mm increments (1 unit = 40mm). In dual dimensioning, I can set that unit system as primary and the secondary system as inches, but what I need is really inches primary and 40mm units secondary as the numerous measurement features in the model reporting to notes need to be output in inches. The .dtl options appear to only accept the fixed options mm, inch, foot, cm, and m for secondary units. Why are the secondary units limited to pre-set options, and is there a way to circumvent this?
There are operations you can do in relations to make numeric variables which can be added using annotations.
Generally, yes, there is a lot of pre-defined stuff. I am not sure at what level this is managed in Creo.
