I am trying to cut the corner away from a section view to see a screw that is underneath it, in the same view. I do not want to create a separate view. I don't care what is on top of the corner, I want to see the screw that is underneath it, while still seeing the top of the rest of the board I am dealing with. Please help.

Thank you so much. Could not for the life of me figure out what to call it so could not find anything on google. Is there a way to create this local section with straight lines, say a rectangle, instead of using a spline?

as far as I know spline as a border is the only one option.
I'm not sure if this will work, but you might want to see if you can create an Offset Section in the assembly model and then use it as a 3D section in the drawing view.
