Default Accuracy

In a discussion in the PTC community about accuracy I made the comment that PTC had switched from relative to absolute as the default sometime in either Creo 1 or Creo 2.  I was corrected on that, and firing up Creo 2 and creating a new, blank (no start part / template) part I find that the same old 0.0012 relative accuracy is still the default.

Am I imagining that PTC said they were switching? I remember it rather vividly and I'm pretty sure I learned that on this list.  Or maybe I'm insane.  (Either is possible, the later may be more likely.)

Thanks,
