Default coloring
Removing the coloring, the model is of a very bright white color.
It looks like an excessive reflection of light.
Depends on what?
Could it be tied to an old color.map instead of the appearance map?

What version of Creo? Can you see what your default appearance settings are? File->system appearance, or File->Model Display
If you have the model open, and go to the view ribbon, under appearances, and clear appearance, what does it look like?

I removed the old color.map and used a new appearance.map and it seems to be fine.
The syscol.scl is old but doesn't seem to give any problems.

Hi,
problem could be related to old system colors file (.scl).
