Steven, Expanding a bit on what Hatim has suggested. You can have multiple Start Parts in a directory, all of which will be available to pick from when you start a new part. One type of Start Part will already have solid geometry in it. For example, I have a part called Block when I want to create a part that starts with a rectilinear shape, another called Pin for cylindrical shaped parts, etc. A second type of Start Part might have no solid geometry, but have specific assigned parameters, etc. and, for your specific requirement, a pre-assigned density. So you might have such a part called Blank_Steel, another called Blank_Aluminum, etc. Pick the one you want, then import the STP file, and you should be in business. David
