Hi everybody
I have drawing view with multiple X-sections...see attached image. They were created using the pattern functionality.
On section A-A I have created (not shown) dimension 26. I would like to create the same dimension on section B-B but Creo doesn't allow me to do it...I get the message "The specified dimension could not be created. Try again"
Anybody know of any reason why I can't create this same dimension across multiple X-sections?
Regards,
Neal
Ok I have found a solution through a bit of fiddling around...The 26 dimension shown on the original image was going from a construction line created on the drawing up to an edge/surface on the model.
I used the relate to view command to relate the construction line to each of the section views. This allowed me create the dimension on each of the section views.
If anybody has an alternative method or knows why standard dimensioning doesn't work I would love to hear it.
Thanks for your time.
Regards
Neal
