Exporting Excel, Word, etc. into Pro/E drawings

Pro/Users,

We have a few issues with the way Pro/E handles OLE (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc) type objects in Detail mode. For example, we recently learned that Pro/E will accept no more than 72 rows from an imported Excel spreadsheet. Anything greater than 72, will be omitted from the inserted object. We are able work around this by importing the excel spreadsheet into a word document, but that is just another step we have to deal with. We are curious if anyone out there is experiencing the same types of problems, and possibly could recommend a better method or process? Is there a 3rd party software available for this type of situation?

Thanks

I don't really like any of the OLE functionality in ProE. It doesn't print off on printers right and is not transferrable by dxf to other companies.

When I want to import data from EXCEL I use Save As> Text (Tab delimited) (*.txt). and then import it as a Insert Note from file.

This doesn't have any limitations on how many rows you want to put in either. The only problem is that sometimes the Tab's don't line up the columns right.

Then for graphs I print the graph to a pdf and use Aide PDF to DXF convertor to import it into the drawing.
