Good Morning Forum,
I am trying to export a tunneling and stations 3D model from Microstation DGN to Creo Elements as a design partner uses Creo and we use MS. We are having a lot of difficulties. It seems the 2 formats are not very compatible.
So far we learn that the STEP file or STP file format may be best but our exports from MS to this format dont appear to be very good, say the partner.
Secondly, we have no way of knowing how our export looks as we have no Creo viewing software so i thought id try the free Creo Viewer but this appears to be limited to 60 'parts'. I don't know what are classed as 'Parts' so don't know how to try to export my model to below this limit??! Are there any other free viewers for Creo elements or this file type i can use to verify my export? My company wont buy it for just this work but need some way of verifying our exports.
Any information on the subject would be gratefully received
Andi
Anyone have any idea? IT cant be the first time this question has been asked?
I've searched the PTC site and found 2 items:
http://www.ptc.com/products/creo/view/express/
http://www.ptc.com/products/creo/view/express/Creo View Express says it can read in DWG ECAD format. DGNs can be easily converted to DWG/DXF ACAD format so could this view be what i need?

I see something called Creo View Adapters which says as part of its file format possibilities it can read DGN
