In the given example, I've created an overloaded assembly that I plan to manage with external simplified reps. I've created assembly-level tree columns/parameters to assist with BOMPublish-ing the correct information to the Windchill BOM. External simplified reps are set as dependent and are linked back to the assembly shown.
In this example, I've opened one of the configured external simplified reps related to the original assembly and none of the model tree columns/parameters have migrated over.
When I associate the external simplified rep model to it's PLM part, will the correct attributes port over or is this a lost cause? We're interrogating this method for our large assembly management as an alternative to extraordinarily large family tables.
Has anybody had experience with this or something like it? What solutions did you come up with?
