Extrusion and Measuring Tool Discrepancy (Creo 11)

Hello all,

I am seeing a small dimension discrepancy of about 0.01 between an extrusion (remove material) I did and the use of the measuring tool distance feature. I am scratching my head as to why, and I cannot figure out its cause. I attached some images and a video. The extruded cut is 3.00 but when I measure it becomes 2.99.

Thank you.

What version of Creo are you using? Do you have absolute accuracy set in the part? It would be best for you to post your model if you are using a commercial license of the software (not many here have an academic license).  I have seen instances where Creo has small errors with the info measure tool. In your specific case I would not expect to see that error.

Try creating a measure between two points on the plane and see if it is 3 exactly, also try using a projection reference when making the measure to see if the results change.

Thank you for the response. It is version 11.0.1.0 and I do have absolute accuracy set.

Unfortunately, I am working with an academic license.

I am wondering if it is a bug. I just deleted the extruded cut sketch and redid it with the same reference and dimension and now it says 3 when I measure...
