On a 2D print, family table information can be displayed with the use of Repeat Regions. This functionality is omitted in a 3D MBD.
Family table information (dimensions & tolerances) should have unique names similar to parameters which can be pulled into an AF_NOTE to allow for display in combination states, similar to what is possible in repeat region tables.
Lacking this capability, MBD files must be individually published, which is terribly resource intensive (imagine a washer with 100 tabulations). The ability to list family table information in a table is the most succinct way to display information when publishing documentation.
