Hello,
I am attempting to produce a flat pattern of a hemispherical end cap and am not sure how to do so. The material has low flexibility so I need to be able to callout rips that will be joined to complete the final shape.
Thanks!

There is no unfold for this. You can flatten quilts, but that also expects significant deformation.
This is best done by using geometry to calculate the number of splits you want and doing a little circumference math to place points.
From these you can make curves to show the actual flat state.
I'm sure there is a formula for this, but that is beyond my pay grade.
For the most part, know that sheetmetal unfold is about flat faces with bend radii. If you facet your part, you might be able to do what you want.
