Dear PTC Product Management Team,
I’d like to propose a new feature for future releases of Creo Cabling: the ability to save and manage multiple cable routing states within a single cable assembly—similar to how flexible components work.
### Proposed functionality:
- **Save named states** of a routed cable (e.g. “Straight,” “Routed Around Hinge,” “Slack”).
- **Load or switch** between these states at will.
- **“Straighten” button** to automatically place intermediate nodes in a straight line between connectors (much like the sheetmetal flatten tool).
- Connector positions would also be flexible when swapping shape states.
This would improve workflows significantly, removing the need for duplicate assemblies or manual re-routing. The feature is inspired by typical flexible hose behaviour and would save time in design, review, and documentation.
I’d be grateful if the Product Management team could consider this for inclusion in a future Creo release.
