Flexible Move by Dimension for Cylindrical Objects

I would like to make a flexible move of a boss with dimension. When I tried it was possible to move with dragger, but in case of dimensional move, I am not able to pick the reference. Can anyone just let me know how to make that move?

Did you add the datum axis as a reference (into the "Move curves and datums" collector like my screenshot shows)?  If not, you won't be able to select it for dimensioning...

What reference are you trying to pick?

Yes, it's possible to do this move; you might have to make a datum axis first, though:

I tried that but I was not able to pick the datum axis as reference for that move.. That's where I was confused. I tried to select a flat surface and along with that when I tried to select the datum I am not able to it, the datum axis is not getting highlighted.. is there anything which I am missing out here?

Thank You so much!! You are right. I was missing that and now I am able to successfully move it.
