Scenario: Complex revolve sketch leveraging feature sizes from .125" to 10" dimensions
Issue: When changing one dimension in this sketch it is causing many of the other dimensions to change their location on the screen thus winding up with "stacked" dimensions or dimensions on top of each other requiring re positioning
Does anyone know a technique, similar to snap lines in a drawing, to lock the LOCATION of dimensions in a model sketch relative to each other?
Found SPR explaining this isn't possible. Found an idea asking for this same idea Acknowledged 06-2018.
My work around for the time being is just to dump the sketch into a simple drawing with no format, show all of the driving dims and place on snap lines, then use the drawing to control the sketch - full control
Hi,
I think you can solve the problem by creating annotations in your model, too.
Fair point. Same exact thing could be done on a combination state. Thanks, Martin.
