Help Needed for Simple Sliding Assembly

Hey Guys,

I am trying to fit the red part (x 2) into the green one....

2.jpg

Basically, the two extrusions on the red one will slide in the slots in the green one.

Hence, two red parts will fit into the slots on either half of the green one.

What i'm failing to do is to make them slide horizontally. The red part should slide as far as the slot size is (left to right and vice versa)

How can I assemble them so that it:

1. Slides by the drag component feature

2. It slides uptil the edge of each slot (it should know what the ends are of the slots)

I have attached both files as well.

Thankyou

I would suggest you to go for SLOT CONNECTION for your gesired movement

1. Make a curve in your slider mount slot(center to center)

2. Make a point in your slider part

3. go for a SLOT CONNECTION

4. For better performance add a additional general connection (plane to plane oriented)

You can see any example on SLOT MECHANISM for further clarification
