Hinge

Does anyone have any tricks for modeling a hinge?

We want to show it flat (open) in the drawing, but have it positioned at
different angles in assemblies.
I was thinking of a 3 component assembly for the base hinge design and
drawing.
When used in an assembly it is put as a flexible component, so the angle is
only set at the assembly where it is used.

We are on Wildfire 2 M160 with PDMLink 7 M040.

Ben,

Assemble your hinge with a pin joint. (If you have already assembled with an
insert & mate, you can convert it using the 'convert' icon). Go to
Applications:Mechanism and take a snapshot & make it available to the
drawing, then edit the joint settings and change the angle and repeat the
process for as many positions as you wish. These positions will now be
available in your drawing.
