Hole callout to 1 decimal place

Hello everyone,

I am beginner on creo, my company is switching from solidworks. I would like to know the easiest way to change the thread callout.

M4x.7 ISO - H TAP DEPTH 7.92

3.3 DRILL (3.300) DEPTH 9.900 - HOLE

I would like to delete the (3.300) bracket and reduce the 7.92 to 7.9. ATM I'm updating it manually to every single thread feature and it is consuming a lot of time.

Assuming you are using a standard hole feature accessing a .hol file then you can set up your custom .hol files to use and alter the notes used when creating the hole features.

I was expecting something easier that I can change directly in the software like I can do with standard dimension in the ''precision'' tab. But it is a solution. Thanks pal.

Keep in mind that you can create a .hole file with a single hole record and add to it as you need to build other holes, so it is not such high overhead. There are other workarounds that could get what you want but since this is how Creo is built to create standard holes I would stick with it.

Creo was designed in most respects to maximize flexibility and customization of the tools. This means that Creo out of the box appears to new users from other systems that features are missing, or it is difficult to use. This is usually not the case and if you take the time to learn how it was designed to be used you can customize the Creo environment to support your workflow in ways that will improve your productivity.

I want to edit this note, instead of 12.600. I want to have it showing 12.6. Same for the 10.08 showing only 10.0.

ATM I'm changing it manually. I would like to know a way to do it automatically.

I posted a video to clarify as well. Thanks

Metric dimensions do not use trailing zeros. Your 10.08 will need to be changed to 10.

If you know, would you share the reason behind your company switching to Creo? I am always curious to understand about a switch to Creo from another CAD tool. What type of products are you designing?

  • In 2D (drawings):
    • Set detail option lead_trail_zeros_scope to all
      • Note will have same decimal places as dimension

Where I can find this lead trail zeros scope ? What is it?
