How to Display a Parametric 3D Note for a Feature Parameter in Assembly Mode?

  • The Feature Parameter ist defined in the Part Mode.

  • I will not introduce an additionally assembly parameter with a relation.

  • The computation of the parameter value works fine in the Drawing Mode and in the Part Mode.

The used syntax for a note calling out a feature parameter:

¶meter:FID_ID#:SID#

or

¶meter:FID_ID#:CID#

parameter = the name assigned to the feature parameter

ID# = the feature ID number.

SID# = the session ID number.

CID# = the component ID number.

Hello Rainer,

Have you figured out the solution to this problem? We are having the same problem. We are trying to go model based and skip drawings in some cases. In a drawing I can create the following note:

&PART_NUMBER:<session id=">

&DESCRIPTION:<session id=">

and get the following result: (seedrawing_note.JPG)

But when I do the same thing in the model I get the following result:(see assembly_note.JPG)

The note works with the top level assy, but not for any other members. As soon as you do anything in the note, it strips the "&" from the note.

Has anyone else seen anything like this?

Best Regards,

Karl Krahmer
