How to prevent the enthusiastic showoff of datums and annotations when starting a CREO session?

See the screenshot above, the datums and annotations always show up when I open a CREO session. Is there a simple setup to avoid this? Thanks.

The dreaded datum forest...

One option (preferred):

Use layers to organize datums in your models and save the models with the layers hidden. Remember to save the layers status when doing this.

If you do not have layers already you can create a layer definition file and read it into the existing parts to create the layers and include the datums to the layers using rules.

Another option:

Turn off datum display filters to remove the datums from display.

I developed a mapkey "zxcv" that toggles between the datums & axis on and off.

You get the "forrest" when on but you can easily turn them off.

The toggle option is quite useful for this. I also use a toggle mapkey for all datum feature display that is mapped to a button on an input device. Essential timesaver when working with data packages we inherit with this particular issue.

Hi Dale, thanks. There is another equivalent option:  Move mouse and click the button "(Select All)" serve the same purpose.

I was trying to save the time spent on showing the forest, which may last only 10 seconds, but still dreadful, if we zoom in and focusing on its involvement.

The thing with my mapkey is it is all left hand and you don't have to mouse at all.

Thanks. I am to add "qwer" mapkey for it. "zx" has been used for zoom into a boxed region.

FYI: I don't have any mapkeys shorter that the maximum "4 keys" so that you don't lose a lot of left handed key strokes. Between those and the "short cut keys" that PTC has added to "help us" you have to be careful not to block too many off with simple mapkeys.

I also have a cheat sheet on the wall of mapkeys, especially for those that I don't use frequently.

Thanks for sharing.
