I'm trying to model the Philips screw recess, which is defined ISO 4757 as type H. The relevant part of the standard can be seen on Google Image Search.
An early model is attached. While the model isn't yet robust, I think I followed the drawing in the standard for size #1 so I'm not sure why some of the numbers are outside of tolerance. Something must be wrong.
Looking at the model and at the standard, can anyone see why dimension "f" and the fixed (but derived) angle "28°" aren't right?
Solved! Go to Solution.
the root problem is the point 1 (end of sketch 1) is not on the surface of the bottom corn, where the dimension measured from.

Thank you. Well spotted!
