Instance color.

Hello, everyone. In Family Table if my generic part color is red, how can I
make its instances a different color?

It is a frequent and worthwhile question and is likely the single most
requested enhancement -

Perhaps I have missed release notes that covering instance color.

Hello, all; and Happy Friday.

I am relatively new to this list, and was wondering if this could be an
improvement to the exploder lists: a FAQ section for these questions that
always come up. There are frequent requests for models, tutorials, and
general "how do I do this?" questions that always come up. If you have ever
searched the archives for the answers like I have you have probably gotten
the same results, little or no information on how to solve certain problems.
A FAQ section with links to tutorials and PTC web pages would be a real
timesaver for us newbies, and improve the exploders.

Just wondering.

In the meantime the short answer is... You can't.
With that said, it is possible to create different surfaces of the part.
Then in the family table the different surfaces can be turned on or off.
Not a very good solution, but then you are using Pro..so don't expect
any thing to be overly easy 🙂
