We have migrated to WF5 Creo Elem Pro well over a year ago. We have
noticed a new behaviour in just a few of the models. Recently some parts
were modified and saved in Creo El. Pro for the first time. These sheet
metal models are parametric and change in size based on a parameter.
When the size is changed and you regenerate the generic changes. Now
ever since these were saved in CreoEpro when you open the flat instance,
they are not regenerated. It only happens on just a couple parts, and
there are no regen issues with these, if you regen the instance they are
fine. Problem is when people dont notice this, the drawings are
exported without the models being regenerated. Is this behavior the
new normal? This has never happened w pro for us in 14 years.

If this is not Creo Parametric, rather Creo Elements, then you may be in the wrong sub-forum.
Hi,
Behavior that you describe might be correct for Creo is you use instance accelerator files. Check for .XPR files on your disc. These files help you get your instance model retrieved way faster, yet sometimes they require additional regeneration to get all updates.
Check this by removal of .xpr files. If you are indeed too bothered by getting instances that are initially "Yellow" (need regen) you can configure Creo to stop saving .XPR files. Performance will drop though.
