I have a mechanism in Creo where a sliding joint rotates about a pint joint. I need to constrain the motion of the sliding joint to never extend past some plane in the assembly. However since the sliding joint is rotating, the motion limits along its translation axis will not work.
The screenshot shows how the sliding joint is set up to rotate about another pin joint. I would like to constrain the sliding joint's motion so that the "limited pin joint" never crosses below the fat dashed red line, making its motion follow the light dashed line. How is this possible?
Use point on line (slot) connection.
