Make Hole Annoation Less Clumsy

Hi all,

I have been loving the new improvements to hole modeling in Creo 10, but I am still very disappointed with the lack of polish on actually dimensioning holes.

The hole notes functionality is pretty powerful, but the fact that you can't specify tolerances on those hole values makes it useless for most users in most cases (aside from just specifying tapped holes).

In addition, the fact that feature control frames (GTOL) can only be placed on the notes in the elbow style is unacceptable and unprofessional. I know there is a workaround to create a free floating GTOL and then link to it in the note, but that is very clumsy. It's something I would expect from FreeCAD, not a world class CAD system.

I would like to see each of the dimensional hole parameters linked to their actual annotation so the tolerance and dimension display can be adjusted, or better yet, build in the tolerance options into the hole tool.

I would also like to see the ability to attach GTOL frames to notes and decide if they are placed at the elbow or below the note.

There just seems to be a lot of technical debt in such a ubiquitous tool that could be made so much better. Thank you for reading and considering this input.

I would recommend turning your suggestions into an idea.  Might get more traction that way.
